I've always used exercise to improve my mental health. Any time I was struggling, I turned to physical activity to try and get myself right. We'd just moved for the 7th time in 7 years, with 3 small children and mentally I'd found myself in a rut again. I googled "gyms near me" and Green Cove CrossFit kept popping up. I had so many misconceptions about CrossFit- I never saw myself doing it. Finally, I decided to give it a try and am infinitely thankful for that decision!
I was welcomed by the Coach and members. I felt like a part of a community (something we'd been missing for a while). My goal was to get stronger- and in just a couple of years, I'm stronger than I could have imagined, and continue to progress physically and mentally. CrossFit has changed my life in so many ways. My goal as a coach is to encourage others to come consistently, make long term goals, practice patience (this is hard for me!) and reap the benefits of those efforts over time. It's a non judgemental environment for people to come get fit, and I'm so grateful to be a part of it.
