In 2012 I was in my early 30’s and I was feeling the desire to get into shape. At that time my idea of fitness training was the typical gym routine. I would go to one of the giant gyms in town, maybe get on a tread mill or elliptical machine to burn some calories, then jump on some cable machines and isolate the arms and legs. My idea of fitness at that time was based primarily on Vanity, not performance.

One day, I came across a local CrossFit affiliate. I recognized that the way they were training was completely different then what I was use to. They were running, lifting weight, jumping on boxes. They were moving like athletes. I had to try it. Up to that point I had never tried any kind of free weight lifting (Dead Lifts, Real Squats, Power Cleans), or had ever really pushed myself to my cardiovascular limit. After a few classes I was hooked. I loved the challenging nature of the workouts, and the atmosphere made me want to push hard. I have been consistently training ever since. I am now focused on my abilities, not the way I look.

I started Coaching CrossFit in 2017 at that very same affiliate (Blackfin CrossFit!!). I have witnessed, and coached countless people who have found life changing results thru CrossFit. Founding my own affiliate and teaching people how to create TRUE fitness is my dream come true.
